Privacy policy

How Wayfarer Journal handles the little personal data it collects.

Last updated: October 2026.

Who we are

Wayfarer Journal is an independent publication. When this policy says "we" it means the editorial team that runs this site. You can reach us at letters@wayfarerjournal.example.

What we collect

  • Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, we store your email address and the date you signed up. Nothing else.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and debugging. Logs are kept for a short period and are not used to build profiles.
  • Analytics. If analytics is enabled, we use privacy-friendly, aggregate statistics. We do not use advertising trackers.

How we use it

We use your email address only to send the newsletter you asked for. We never sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers we need to run the site (hosting, database, email delivery), who process it on our behalf.

Your choices

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete the data we hold about you by writing to letters@wayfarerjournal.example. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and mention it in the next newsletter.
